Creator Privacy Promise
This document has not been written. What follows describes its status, not its terms.
Our Privacy Policy describes the Creator Privacy Promise as the data processing agreement a creator accepts when they start a membership programme, and says you can view a copy of it. That copy does not exist. Rather than leave the reference pointing at nothing, this page records the position honestly.
What is still undecided
- Whether a creator acts as a processor on bushido’s instructions, as a joint controller with bushido, or as an independent controller of their subscribers’ data. That choice determines what the agreement has to contain, and it has not been made.
- If a creator is a processor, the Art. 28(3) clauses the agreement must carry. If the relationship is joint control, the Art. 26 arrangement. Neither has been written.
- How acceptance would be recorded, and what happens to subscriber data a creator holds when they leave the platform.
What is decided
The information a creator receives about a subscriber is listed in the Privacy Policy, and the providers bushido itself shares data with are published at Sub-processors. You can exercise your rights over your own data from your account settings at any time, independently of anything a creator has agreed.
